The UCL School of Pharmacy offers an MSc in Drug Discovery and Development and an MSc in Drug Discovery and Pharma Management. These programmes provide a broad overview of the drug discovery and development process and are designed for graduates in science-based subjects.

These MScs were introduced in direct response to the requirements of the pharmaceutical industry and graduates of this programme are highly competitive in the global jobs market.

Core modules in term one are identical for the MSc Drug Discovery and Development and the MSc Drug Discovery and Pharma Management. However, students are then to choose between pursuing a science-oriented stream or a business-oriented theme.

Uniquely, UCL’s business-oriented modules are taught by scientists who have become successful in both the lab and as business people. These modules have been designed for scientists who want to learn about entrepreneurship.

The School of Pharmacy’s close links with the pharmaceutical industry (both major organisations and SMEs/startups) enables them to offer a range of experienced operators as speakers as well as unique modules. Networking events for students are also held throughout the programme.
