Drug Discovery MScs Virtual Open Day
Studying Drug Discovery and Development MSc and Drug Discovery and Pharma Management - MICHAEL MUNDAY AND ROSEMARY SMYTH
AUGUST 5, 2020
Are you keen to seek a career in the pharmaceutical industry, startups and SMEs for Pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, regulatory bodies or to progress to a PhD?
These industries are looking for the UK’s top pure science students. Gain an advantage in these challenging times by taking a postgraduate programme at UCL’s School of Pharmacy that will provide you with invaluable practical skills, alumni opportunities, access to industry experts and a PG qualification from one of the top 10 Universities in the world.
The UCL School of Pharmacy is #1 in Europe and was also the first School of Pharmacy in Europe when it was founded by the Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain in 1842.
The UCL School of Pharmacy offers an MSc in Drug Discovery and Development and an MSc in Drug Discovery and Pharma Management. These programmes provide a broad overview of the drug discovery and development process and are designed for graduates in science-based subjects.
These MScs were introduced in direct response to the requirements of the pharmaceutical industry and graduates of this programme are highly competitive in the global jobs market.
Core modules in term one are identical for the MSc Drug Discovery and Development and the MSc Drug Discovery and Pharma Management. However, students are then to choose between pursuing a science-oriented stream or a business-oriented theme.
Uniquely, UCL’s business-oriented modules are taught by scientists who have become successful in both the lab and as business people. These modules have been designed for scientists who want to learn about entrepreneurship.
The School of Pharmacy’s close links with the pharmaceutical industry (both major organisations and SMEs/startups) enables them to offer a range of experienced operators as speakers as well as unique modules. Networking events for students are also held throughout the programme.
