Module outline:An introduction to the neuroscience of language and its implication for linguistics. The ultimate goal of neuroscience of language is to understand how language is represented in the brain, this presupposes some understanding of the nature of language representations, of how those representations are processed and the functioning of the brain.  
Module aims:- To provide basic neurological methods and understand the advantages and disadvantages of each - To understand some key neurolinguistic theories and generate predictions based on them - To further understanding of the human language faculty  
Module objectives:The intended learning outcomes for the module are: - Ability to understand primary literature in neuroscience of language - Ability to employ basic methods in the analysis of neuro and psycholinguistic data - Ability to evaluate competing analyses of neurolinguistic data - Ability to write up reports on experimental and analytical work in neuroscience of language
