Nerve Injury Community Day 2026
Bringing together people with nerve injuries and their families to learn, share experiences and collaborate with researchers to shape future treatments and advance nerve injury research.
On Saturday 18th April, we were delighted to welcome 60 attendees to the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham for our third Nerve Injury Community Day event.
The event brought together people with lived experience of nerve injury, alongside clinicians and scientific researchers, for a day of engaging workshops and open conversations. Sessions were co-facilitated by individuals with lived experience and specialist peripheral nerve surgeons, and explored a range of topics including pain management, as well as ethics and innovation in nerve injury research.
By bringing these communities together in a supportive and collaborative environment, the day created space for meaningful discussions and helped ensure that future research efforts are closely aligned with the needs and priorities of those affected by nerve injury. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us, and we look forward to building on the many thoughtful ideas and inspiring conversations that emerged throughout the day.
