About the course
Pursue a research career exploring one of the most urgent existential issues facing our living planet, with an MRes that puts you to work at three of the most important ecological research facilities in the world.
You’ll learn about how quantitative tools are applied in a range of contexts, including bioinformatics, systematics, biogeography and genetics.
You’ll undertake two separate research projects, building your investigative independence and working alongside expert researchers - both here at UCL and at our programme partners, the Institute of Zoology and the Natural History Museum.
You’ll draw on the wealth of genetic and evolutionary expertise at the Natural History Museum, helping you understand the most effective ways to preserve diversity. Meanwhile, the Institute of Zoology will provide you with exciting opportunities to learn conservation science through field work and access to their zoo collections.
