The UCL School of Pharmacy Alumni Award recognises exceptional alumni whose careers and contributions have demonstrated outstanding leadership, innovation, advocacy, and impact across pharmacy, healthcare, pharmaceutical sciences, public health, academia, policy, industry, or humanitarian service.
The award celebrates alumni of the UCL School of Pharmacy whose work has made a meaningful contribution to the profession, patients, healthcare systems, research, education, or wider society in the UK or internationally.
Closing Date: July 5th 2026
Eligibility Criteria
Nominees must:
- Be alumni of the UCL School of Pharmacy
- Be licensed or registered as a pharmacist in the UK or internationally (does not need to be a practicing pharmacist)
- Demonstrate significant professional achievement and impact at least 10 years post-graduation
- Be in good professional standing
Nominees do not need to be UK-based and may be working anywhere internationally.
Both self-nominations and nominations by others are welcome.
Selection Criteria
Nominees should demonstrate excellence in at least three of the following areas:
- Sustained Professional Achievement: Exceptional performance and innovation in practice, academia, research, policy, or industry.
- Leadership: Holding leadership roles that have influenced the development of health care services, policy, education, or research.
- Advocacy and Impact: Significant contributions to advancing the visibility, influence, and value of pharmacy to healthcare systems and the public.
- Mentorship and Role Modelling: Demonstrated commitment to inspiring, mentoring, and supporting future generations of pharmacists.
- Outstanding Service to Society: Involvement in initiatives that promote public health, patient care, or social justice and public good.
Judges will consider
- National or international impact
- Contribution to patient care, research, education, policy, or public health
- Evidence of leadership, innovation, and sustained contribution
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
