Join us for a Division of Biosciences Cross-Training & Digital Upskilling Workshop designed to help SMB staff and those interested in gaining practical experience with supercomputing in the biosciences. This hands-on session presents the HPC and Microbiomes computational workshop that is part of the BIOC0003 first-year biochemistry module taken by all Molecular Biosciences students.
This session offers an opportunity to explore one of the computational tools and techniques used in the undergraduate Biosciences curriculum, providing deeper insight into how students engage with digital resources. This knowledge will be particularly valuable for BIOC0003 tutors, giving them practical experience to better support their personal tutees.
Registration is required in advance, as participants will need access to the supercomputer used in the course (snellius, at SURF in Amsterdam). Participation from colleagues across the Division of Biosciences, the Faculty of Life Sciences and other UCL Faculties is encouraged. In the case of oversubscription, priority will be given to BIOC0003 tutors, PhD students, postdocs and early career researchers. Please sign up via EventBrite to ensure access and catering arrangements.
