Functional Morphology - Annual Symposium - 20 February 2025 - UCL Centre for Integrative Anatomy

The UCL Research Department for Cell & Developmental Biology is delighted that its Centre for Integrative Anatomy is to hold the annual multi-disciplinary symposium on functional morphology, in person, on 20 February in UCL's Anatomy Building, London. Registration is compulsory but free and will feature 17 speakers, mostly early career researchers, who will refer to a variety of species, including birds, snakes, dogs, horses and humans, in order to explore the relationship between the shape of parts of the body and developmental stages - both in lifecycle and evolutionary terms - including the impact of environmental changes. Their findings have implications for fields as disparate as artificial joints, skull surgery and conservation.
