Coombs Lab: Public engagement

We work closely with the international foundations CureGRIN, GRI-UK and GRIN Europe to ensure that our research goals are closely aligned with those of families affected by GRI disorders. This engagement includes one-to-one discussions with families, representing the foundations’ interests in discussions with industrial collaborators, and communicating both basic science and our most up-to-date findings at online and in-person conferences.

In March 2024 at UCL’s Institute of Education, we hosted the UK’s largest GRI disorder gathering so far, with over 100 patients, patient-families, researchers and clinicians in attendance.
