Professor Gerald Stanton Smith is Emeritus Professor of Russian, University of Oxford and Emeritus Fellow of New College. He was an undergraduate at the School of Slavonic and East European Studies (SSEES) between 1961 and 1964 and Professor of Russian from 1986-2003
