A collection of around 150 volumes of mathematical works published between 1701 and 1850. This rare book collection complements the LMS library of approximately 7000 volumes, including monographs, tracts, and over 250 sets of periodicals, held at the Science Library.
History
The London Mathematical Society was founded in 1865 under the presidency of Augustus de Morgan, then Professor of Mathematics at University College London. Its library has been deposited by the London Mathematical Society since 1929.
