Due to the UCL200 Summer Festival, the Main Library will operate with reduced opening hours from 30 May - 07 June.
On 02 to 06 June 2026, the UCL200 Summer Festival will see campus transformed, with a roster of workshops, live music, guest speakers, and more.
Temporary library opening hours (30 May – 7 June)
Opening hours during this period are as follows:
- Saturday 30 May: Closed.
- Sunday 31 May: Closed.
- Monday 01 June: 8:30am to midnight.
- Tuesday 02 June: 8:30am to 4pm.
- Wednesday 03 June: 8:30am to 4pm.
- Thursday 04 June: 8:30am to 2pm.
- Friday 05 June: 8:30am to 4pm.
- Saturday 06 June: Closed.
- Sunday 07 June: Closed.

What’s on at the UCL200 Summer Festival
During the day, a busy programme of activities is scheduled to help you build skills, give back to the community or get creative. Think panels, workshops, taster sessions, fitness classes, community volunteering and challenges. You can even join an attempt to break a world record!
Each day of the festival will also finish with a ticketed, headline event. On Tuesday 02 June, there will be the Great Debate featuring engaging speakers and industry experts; on Wednesday 03 June, the Film Festival showcasing student films and talks from professionals and alumni; and on Thursday 06 June, the UCL Proms offering an evening of classical music in the Main Quad.
