Responding to feedback
22 October 2021
Your feedback is important to us and we use it to make improvements for all our customers.

Every three months we report the changes we have made to our services based on your feedback. Since July 2021, we have made the following improvements.
You said we want to find a study space on the day, without having to book.
You said we want bookable study spaces to remain for the next academic year so that we can plan our study in advance.
We have opened up most of our libraries so that you can access study spaces on the day without having to book. However, we have maintained a booking system in some spaces to allow you to plan your day in advance.
You said we can’t always find what we need on the Library Services webpages.
We have redesigned our webpages to make them easier to navigate. We’ve added library opening hours to the home page and have made the Explore search box more prominent.
You said we can’t access books that are on loan to other members of the library.
During the last academic year, we temporarily suspended the ability to request books that were on loan to help reduce the number of people on campus. We have now reinstated this.
You said the Virtual Learning Spaces helped you study remotely.
Following a trial last year, we researched how students used the Virtual Learning Spaces. Based on this feedback we reopened them from the start of term with further changes planned over the next year.
