UCL Discovery Plus - Open Access repository for NHS research
16 June 2016
UCL Discovery Plus is a new Open Access service for staff at UCL's partner NHS Trusts.
Open Access maximises the dissemination and visibility of research outputs (articles, proceedings, datasets, book chapters, working papers and more) worldwide with no payment barriers, so everyone can access them free of charge, wherever possible. All publications that are deposited in UCL Discovery Plus will also be found through Google searches, since Discovery is indexed by Google.
Following a pilot in 2015, Library Services staff are now supporting staff in using this service at the following Trusts:
- Camden & Islington NHS Foundation Trust
- Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS foundation Trust
- Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
- Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust
- Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust
- University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
- Whittington Hospital NHS Trust
Library staff will check copyright permissions before making deposits openly available to view online via UCL Discovery Plus. Publications can be displayed by NHS Trust. For further information please read the Frequently Asked Questions or contact the UCL Discovery Plus team.
