Additional PCs coming to our library spaces
9 June 2017

UCL Library Services are currently working in partnership with ISD to install 415 new PCs within the UCL Main, Science, Institute of Child Health, Cruciform Hub, Institute of Education and Royal Free libraries.
Along with this huge increase in student PCs we are installing modern comfortable furniture to ensure students are relaxed and comfortable while studying.
Although the actual project is on a tight scheduled program, which commences on the 19 June 2017, we are required to move material and relocate this in preparation to make room for the additional spaces.
While this is being carried out, reading rooms may be disrupted as material moves are undertaken.
The reading rooms that will be affected from Tuesday 13 June will be:
- Institute of Child Health Library, social and quiet reading rooms
- Science Library, Librarianship and Archives, Maths, Physics and Chemistry reading rooms, room 317
- Main Library, Hebrew and Jewish studies, room 233
- Institute of Education Library, non-education collection (a fetch service will be provided)
Updates about specific times and dates are available via our reading room closures page.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused whilst the moves take place.
