Communications guidance

Everyone in LCCOS is responsible for communications. This includes everything from contacting customers to creating posters and updating webpages.

As outlined in the Library Services Communications Strategy we have adopted a “locally-delivered, centrally-coordinated communications model”.

We want to empower you to communicate with your customers.

What’s in this section?

On this section for LibNet you will find guidance on all stages of communications:

We have also created resources that will allow you to identify the external channels and internal LCCOS channels to reach your audience and message.

The Communications Calendar sits under the strategy and helps to plan communications which will go out centrally each week.

Please use the menu on right to access our guides on creating comms.

Communications Guidance from UCL

Library communications should always comply with the UCL brand guidelines, in some situations alongside the brand identities of partners such as the NHS Trusts. More guidance on UCL’s brand and visual identity guide is available on the UCL Communications and Marketing team (CAM) website.

Additional support is also provided through four communities of Practice focused on Events, Internal Comms, Digital Comms and Student Recruitment. Go to the UCL Communications Community of Practice webpage for more information.
