Name
Mathematic activity for kindergarten- Outdoor learning
Topic
Outdoor mathematics with natural and recyclable materials
Learning time
30 minutes
Designed time
30 minutes
Size of class
14 kindergarten students, 5-6 years old
Description
Performing an outdoor mathematical activity by associating the number with the quantity and vice versa, comparing the weight of the objects using the scale, comparing the volume of the containers using water, making the geometric shapes with the lines drawn on the stones, ordering the natural objects by size (stones), length and width (leaves), thickness (twigs), writing of the figures on the dial of a clock with chalk on the cement
Mode of delivery
Classroom-based
Aims
- developing the ability to understand and use figures by referring to quantity and vice versa - developing mathematical abilities (comparison, joining, ordering and drawing lines) by manipulating objects from nature and recyclable materials
Outcomes
Knowledge, Estimate, Application, Differentiate between, Compose, Evaluation, Affective learning outcomes, Psychomotor skills
