Description
In our school, a new classroom is being organized. It is called "Atelier creativo" (Creative Atelier). Here we have new educational tools: a 3D printer and educational robots. We want the atelier will become an enjoyable environment for learning. For this purpose, we will assemble robots, try the 3D printer, and write user's protocols for people which will use the atelier.
Aims
The project aims at boosting: 1) collaborative work; 2) problem-solving skills; 3) listening and communication skills; 4) leadership skills; 5) application of mathematical concepts.

    Simonetta Melinelli and Rita Monne, belonging to our school staff, carried out a great work in order to clean and organize the new room at the beginning of this school year. In the attached picture you can see the room before the Simonetta and Rita's work. Thanks to Rita and Simonetta this important work has been already done!

Robot assembly and use of the 3D printer.

    We have different kinds of robots, specifically designed for pupils of different ages. Indeed, our atelier will be used by pupils of different ages belonging to our school. We will assemble the three JIMU and the ten Makeblock Mbot robots (pupils aged 8 - 14 years old). We will test Dash robots (pupils aged 6 - 8 years old). We will test "Sapientino" robots (pupils aged 5 - 8 years old). 3D Printer: we will learn how to use the device for performing different kinds of educational activities.
