Summer works across Library, Culture, Collections and Open Science (LCCOS)

LCCOS has a comprehensive programme of work scheduled for summer 2025, to enhance our spaces. This may affect services, but efforts are being made to minimise disruption to users.

Update on reopening the Science Library

We are pleased to share the latest updates on the reopening of the Science Library. We have made good progress, and the spaces are really starting to come together!

While we had initially planned to welcome you back sooner, we have encountered some unexpected delays. The Science Library is now set to open on Monday 01 September.

This delay is due to issues with the supply and installation of furniture, as well as ensuring that fire egress standards are met. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate your understanding and patience during this time.

We are committed to providing you with the best possible library experience and are working diligently to ensure that everything is ready for your return. We look forward to welcoming you back into these newly enhanced spaces very soon!

Please review the following information to understand how LCCOS spaces might be affected. Note that all dates are subject to change.
