New line management workshops have been launched for Evening and Weekend library staff.
The Evening and Weekend team in Library Services is a large cohort of staff within LCCOS, consisting of approximately 60 colleagues. Collectively, the team have a diverse range of skills and professional backgrounds. Ensuring that there are a variety of different training methods and development options available at LCCOS, which are accessible to all staff, ensures that all colleagues have an opportunity for development.
During 2024, the Evening and Weekend team benefited from a series of Line Manager workshops which took place during evening shifts. The workshops provided line managers with the opportunity to enhance their existing knowledge and to consult directly with the HR Business Partner for expert advice regarding the related topics.
The workshops were a success, and have encouraged evening and weekend colleagues to more openly discuss queries and topics related to the management training. The level of engagement with the workshops clearly demonstrated the value in ensuring that training and development opportunities are accessible and available to all LCCOS colleagues.
