New options for public engagement support

Our Public Engagement team are offering refocused and refreshed support options for the UCL community.

Public engagement at UCL is emerging from a period of change and now sits within the Co-Production and Public Engagement team. As part of its new offering, the Public Engagement team have announced new support options for all staff and students at UCL.

What we offer

It is now possible for anyone to book a one-to-one advice session on the new public engagement website and speak with an experienced member of staff about their queries. The Engagement and Impact training series will also return  and the team are available to discuss bespoke training sessions to meet the needs of staff, students and researchers at multiple levels of experience.

Get in touch

The team are interested in discussing how to continue to support research and teaching in new ways, and are seeking to raise the profile of engagement inside UCL. They particularly welcome contact from those who have been underrepresented in public engagement. Any interested colleagues are encouraged to email public engagement and to follow the team on LinkedIn and Bluesky.

New strategy

In October 2025, a draft Public Engagement Strategy was developed after consultation with colleagues from across UCL. This is a strategy for the UCL Public Engagement Team for the next two years (2026-2028) and will focus on connecting the team to the rest of UCL, building and embedding practical support for public engagement, and ensuring staff and students at all levels are rewarded and recognised for their public engagement work.
