Making the School of Pharmacy Collections more discoverable

The School of Pharmacy Library has undertaken several projects to improve the discoverability of its collections.

The School of Pharmacy Library has recently endeavoured to improve access to its flagship collections through a variety of projects. This included a successful application to British Society for the History of Pharmacy for funding to digitalise the past student and alumni association magazine, The Square Chronicle. Researchers can now search the collection online through the Internet Archive and also the School of Pharmacy Library’s Digital Collection webpage.

Additionally, the Library recently gained four exhibition units, which have allowed a greater display of more of its rich collection. The Library has plans to further improve the discoverability of its collections in the future, including a continuation of its efforts to create an inventory of its object collection, exhibition promotion, cataloguing and gathering feedback.
