Romanesque church, bought by Isabella Worley when incomplete and redenominated as an Anglican church (from the intended Catholic use). Isabella Worley spent £8591 12s completing the church, vicarage and school in 1856: the church was consecrated in 1859. It was replaced in 1980 and converted to commercial use.

Free woman of colour; left Demerara in 1812 as a young woman and settled in Starthforth, Yorkshire, where she died in 1862.
