Brodsworth (Yorkshire)
Brodsworth, West Yorkshire, built by Charles Thellusson (1822-1885) who shared the proceeds of his great-grandfather Peter Thellusson's estate. Charles Thellussons' portion was c. £600,000, three-quarters in land. Charles Thellusson spent some £50,000 on building 1861-1865: his total outlay on the estate 1859-1870 was £105,000, 70% of his rent roll. [Wilson and Mackley, Creating Paradise pp. 330-333].

Member of the Baillie of Dochfour family who had numerous mercantile connections in the West Indies. The compensation for Baillie's Bacolet in Grenada was awarded to the trustees of her marriage settlement. Grand-daughter of Colin Roy Campbell of Glenmure. Apparently a victim of the quack doctor John St John Lang of Harley Street in 1830.
