Partner in Moens, Dauncey & Latham (q.v.). Born Holland, son of Simon Bernelot Moens and Anna de Prill.

  1. Arrival of Jacob Bernelot Moens aged 29 from Rotterdam merchant recorded 26/10/1826.

  2. Jacob Bernelot Moens of the Parish of St John Hackney married Susan Baker Wright (a minor, daughter of William Wright) 19/03/1829 St Michael Paternoster Royal, City of London. Also in 1829, Jacob Bernelot Moens of 20 City Chambers, London swore to the PCC will of Adrian Moens (died Bristol, merchant, describing his sons as "William and John of Rotterdam and Lima in Peru," and disposing of "plantations in Surinam").

  3. In 1841 Jacob Moens merchant aged 40 born foreign parts was living at Stamford Hill (St John Hackney) with Susan (transcribed as Luse) aged 30 and children Anna (11), Louis (9), Wm [?] (7), Seaburn (a son, transcribed as Seabron) (6), Emily (2) and Arthur (9 months); in 1851 he was shown at Old Terrace Stamford Hill aged 54 merchant born Holland with wife S. B. Moens (42) and children Anna (21), Louis (19) a merchants clerk, William (17) a stockbrokers clerk, Seaburne (16), Emily (11), Arthur (10), Alice (2).

  4. Registered as an elector at 7 Clapton Terrace from 1844 to 1853.
