T71/887 British Guiana claim no. 2382A.

In a letter from Porter & Nelson dated 16/11/1835 the firm informs the Commissioners somewhat ambiguously that Charles Grant had no interest in the two-thirds of the estate for which Tindal was trustee, 'which belong to the Chief Justice'. The letter went on to say that '[i]t is not necessary that we should trouble you with particulars of the Trusts declared by the will.' It seems most likely that Tindal was simply the trustee not the owner.
