Awarded the compensation for 87 enslaved people on a currently unidentified estate in Barbados.

  1. Possibly but not certainly the Benjamin Hinds who in 1861 aged 59 Gentleman and fund holder born Barbados with wife Julia aged 45 born Surrey, and daughters Ann 23 born Dorking and Rose M. 17 born Kingston, was living at Claremont Road Kingston. He died at 8 Claremont Road 30/5/1891 leaving £1187 16s 10d.
