Biography

Son of Edward Archer Applewhaite (c. 1770-1804), barrister of Barbados, and Mary Lytcott, brother of Edward Archer Applewhaite (1799-1889) (q.v.) and also father of Edward Archer Applewhaite (1818-?).

  1. Christened 28/12/1796 Christ Church, Barbados; married 13/03/1817 Susannah M Todd; baptism of Edward Archer Applewhaite Clifton Gloucs August 1818; married Ann Crichlow, daughter of James Crichlow of Barbados, 24 July 1827, St Michael, Barbados.

  2. Lytcott's aunt, Sarah Ward Applewhaite, left part of her estate in 1817 to Henry Barker Humphrey (or Umphrey). See notes on him for further details.
