Awarded part of the compensation for the Observatory and Charlotteville estates on Tobago after participating in the counterclaim of James Gray of Kensington, Robert Gray of Dunfermline N[orth] B[ritain], Henry & Mary Douglas of same place, and Ann & Mary Gray, both of Kensington, spinsters, arrears of annuity under codicil of will of Charles Gray late of the Island of Tobago planter £3250, also accruing annuities from 12/09/1834. The group reached a settlement with the London merchant Patrick Maxwell Stewart on the awards.
