Biography

An awardee together with members of the Savage/Munkhouse family (q.v., under Arthur Savage, Anna Munkhouse, Sophia Munkhouse and Robert Keate Hill) of part of the compensation for Strawberry Hill in Port Royal Jamaica. Wilson's identity and role have not yet been identified, he was possibly a trustee.

  1. In 1851 a Charles Thomas Wilson was curate of Brixham Devon, living at Lay Well Cottage Brixham widower born East Indies, with a son aged 6. This man would however have been implausibly young to be a recipient or a trustee of slave compensation.
