Biography

Liverpool and British Guiana merchant, partner in Sandbach Tinne (q.v.) and brother of William McInroy (q.v.). He retired from the linked partnerships in 'Demerary and Essequebo', Glasgow and Liverpool in 1836.

  1. Confirmation of commissariat 25/02/1879 of James Patrick McInroy who died at Lude 21/10/1878; 1871 living at Lude House Blair Atholl aged 71 with wife Margaret S[eton] L[illie].

  2. William McInroy of Lude, JP for Co. Perth, son of James Patrick McInroy, married Debonnaire Fleetwood Hesketh 1833.
