Partner in with George Burrow (q.v.) in Burrows and Nottage (q.v.) merchants of Lancaster. Probably = Alderman of Lancaster. Quaker.

  1. George Burrow failed, apparently after Nottage's death.

  2. 1841 census shows James Barton Nottage merchant aged 55 at Caton, Lancaster with wife Jane. Probably died Lancaster Q1 1845 although there is another James Barton Nottage shown dying in Liverpool in 1842.
