Awarded the compensation for the enslaved people Prospect on St Vincent with Henry Josias Stracey (q.v) as trustees of Henry Josias Stracey's sister (and Charles Heaton Ellis' sister-in-law) Emily or Emma Louisa Reece née Stracey, former wife of Charles Struth deceased and wife of Charles Cuthbert Harrison.  

  1. Son of John Thomas Ellis (MP for Lostwithiel 1784-1790) and grandson of John Heaton. Lawyer of Wyddial Hall, and agent to 4th Duke of Portland, married to Louisa, daughter of Sir Josias Stracey 4th bart. Known as Charles Ellis Heaton at the time of the compensation records.

  2. Will of Charles otherwise Charles Arthur Hill Heaton-Ellis late of Wyddial Hall Herts., and of 49 Harley Street, who died 24/01/1865 at Harley Street proved 11/03/1865, effects under £70,000.
