Letters of administration for estate of Manuella Maria Strickland of Dawlish Devon who died 14/09/1856 at Dawlish left unadministered by Maria Manuella Strickland the grandmother widow and only next of kin granted to Martin Strickland the son and one of the executors of the said Maria Manuella Strickland effects under £3000, former grant January 1857.         

  2. In 1851 Maria M Strickland aged 56 fundholder and landed proprietor born Port of Spain was head of household at 1 Prospect Place Littleham Exmouth with son Martin aged 30 fundholder born Liverpool, daughter-in-law Paulina M aged 34 and grand-daughters Manuella M aged 12, Isabel 8, Paulina 2, Emma 6mos and  two grandsons, Fernando  6 and Manuel 4, a visitor Mary Roxburgh aged 27 'merchant's daughter' born Trinidad, and 2 servants.  

  3. Will of Maria Manuela Strickland who died 19/10/1857 proved 09/02/1858 by Martin Strickland the son, effects under £9000.
