Biography

George Ferguson of Pitfour, awarded the compensation for Castara and Englishman's Bay on Tobago as owner-in-fee.

This is almost certainly George Ferguson (1788-1867), naval officer and MP for Banffshire 1832-1837 and the illegitimate son of George Ferguson (1748-1820), Governor of Tobago and 4th Laird of Pitfour.
