Biography

Counterclaimed apparently unsuccessfully with his wife Elizabeth for a share of the compensation for the Upper Diamond estate on St Vincent. The trustee of Elizabeth Prince's annuity under a marriage settlement, John Wilson, also counterclaimed for £1000.

  1. Almost certainly the Thomas Prince aged 69 'gentleman' born West Indies and his wife Elizabeth aged 46 [sic] also born West Indies who in 1851 were living at 22 Bryanston Street. No will or death-date has yet been traced for either individual.

  2. Thomas Prince Esq. of Silver Hill Barracks Sussex married Elizabeth Pococke widow in 1810 at St Marylebone. 'Miss Porter', the daughter of Lady Bolton of St Vincent, had married Capt. Samuel Pococke at Reading in 1803.
