Banker of Newport, Isle of Wight. Under indentures of 29 and 30/06/1792, he and his partners John Kirkpatrick and James Kirkpatrick agreed to lend £10,000 to the London merchants Lane, Fraser, to secure which they were assigned mortgages over New River and Gingerland, estats on Nevis owned by the Maynard family.
