Biography

Beneficiary of slave-wealth: her father Andreas Christian Boode had transferred £30,000 on her on her first marriage in 1826. Phoebe Boode (heretofore Horlock) married Baker Dawson at St James Piccadilly 27/07/1834. In 1851 she was living aged 40 born Amsterdam naturalised British subject at Home House Whatlington with her second husband and children John B[aker] Dawson and Phoebe M Dawson; she was possibly the Phoebe Dawson buried at Heathfield Sussex in 1854.
