London merchant, originally a biscuit baker and then a brewer. He was one of a group of London merchants lending £60,000 in total to Alexander Donaldson in 1803 secured on substantial 'slave-property', mostly mortgages. Christie left £100,000 in 1811.

A cover note outlining the contents of the document.
