Henry Boldero

Biography

London banker. Henry Boldero was an annuitant for £50 p.a. for the lives of the then Prince of Wales and his son Edward Gale Boldero (q.v.) on the Nevis estate(s) and enslaved people of John Abel Ward from 1774 onwards, one of a long list of such annuitants for different amounts on different lives, suggesting that John Abel Ward had sold annuities secured on the estate to raise capital.

  1. Will of Henry Boldero banker of Cornhill proved 04/07/1789. His will was simple and made his son Edward Gale Boldero his universal legatee.
