Will of John Frere of St Philip Barbados proved 07/12/1721. He left his estate named Searles to his son Tobias; and the remainder of his property to his son John after legacies of £4000 currency to each of his four daughters Anna, Elizabeth Abigail and Rebecca.

Born into slavery in Carriacou, Grenada, Malvina Wells became a lady's maid in Edinburgh and a trusted family friend to her employers.
