Biography

Widow of George Webbe of Nevis senior and mother of Fanny Francklyn (q.v.).

  1. Mary Webbe, age 82, of Marylebone, was buried at All Souls Cemetery, Kensal Green, 19/03/1818 age 82 years.

  2. Will of Mary Webbe widow of [Weymouth Street] St Marylebone proved 16/04/1818. She left the £2000 over which she had power under her husband's will for the benefit of their daughter Fanny Franckyln, and provided that should Fanny have returned to and be living with her husband Henry Francklyn, the interest on the £2000 would no longer be paid but accumulate for the benefit of Alexander Allan, the son of Frances and Henry Francklyn. She express the wish that Alexander Allan would take the name Webbe, saying that had she a large fortune to leave him she would have insisted on this but instead made it only a preference.
