Purchased a share in Spring estate in St Andrew, Jamaica, from his niece Mary Elbridge, then bequeathed it to his wife Mary for life, and thereafter to his brothers John and Thomas and his nieces Mary and Rebecca in equal portions. The estate had previously been owned by Robert's brother Aldworth Elbridge. Robert Elbridge was deceased by 1727 and his wife Mary by 1745.

Robert Elbridge of Kingston, planter. Estate probated in Jamaica in 1727. Slave-ownership at probate: 83 of whom 42 were listed as male and 41 as female. 19 were listed as boys, girls or children. Total value of estate at probate: £4393.88 Jamaican currency of which £2647 currency was the value of enslaved people. Estate valuation included £366.13 currency cash, £527.43 currency debts and £141.89 currency plate.
