Resident slave-owner on Dominica. The will of John Corlet of Dominica proved 27/06/1814 identified Frances Phipps Audain as his sister and James Corlet as his brother, who were his co-heirs. She was described as 'widow' in the probate of her brother's will [the probate gives her as Mary Phipps Audain].
PROB 11/1557/450. Caribbeana Vol. IV 'Audain of St Kitts' pp. 212-216 fails to show her husband.
