Sir Thomas Dundas 1st Baron Dundas

Biography

Son of Sir Lawrence Dundas. MP for Richmond 1763-1768 and Stirlingshire 1768-1794. Married Lady Charlotte Fitzwilliam, daughter of William, 1st East Fitzwilliam. "Dundas was an amiable, unassuming young man, completely dominated by his ambitious father." Lord Lieutenant of Orkney and Zetland. Succeeded his father as 2nd Baronet in 1781; created Baron Dundas of Aske in 1794.
