Biography

Barrow Harris was listed in the Jamaican Quit Rent books for 1754 as the owner of 600 acres of land in St Mary, 900 acres in St Catherine, 194 acres in St Dorothy and 677 acres in St John, total 2371 acres. This might be the same man as Barrows Harris of Jamaica, the uncle of Barrows Harris Stanyford and brother-in-law of Henry Stanyford (q.v.).

Harris and Russell were listed in the Jamaican Quit Rent books for 1754 as the owners of 911 acres of land in St Thomas-in-the-East. This may be Barrow Harris or Thomas Harris; William Russel or John Russell (all q.v.).
