Biography

White planter who had three children with "free mulatto" Susanna Augier, died c. 1728 and bequeathed a life interest in a pen in St Catherine and a mountain in St Andrew as well as "sundry houses" in Kingston and St Jago de la Vega, with remainder in tail to her children Mary and Peter.

Member of Assembly for St Mary in 1716, Kingston in 1719 and St Andrew in 1727 and 1728.

Peter Calliard of Kingston, merchant. Estate probated in Jamaica in 1728. Slave-ownership at probate: 170 of whom 92 were listed as male and 78 as female. 39 were listed as boys, girls or children. Total value of estate at probate: £26150.42 Jamaican currency of which £5082 currency was the value of enslaved people. Estate valuation included £0 currency cash, £19424.43 currency debts and £67 currency plate.
