  1. Will of Elizabeth Lovell widow of [Begbrook in the parish of] Winterbourne Gloucestershire [made in 1829] proved 12/06/1830. In the will she left personal possessions in a meticulous distribution among friends and family, and left financial legacies totalling several thousand pounds to the heirs of a series of dead Barbadian connections, explaining that the legacies were compensation for the unpaid debts of her father Samuel Osborne, his estate having been exhausted before repayment of all his obligations. She manumitted 'my negro servant William Ray Osborne', and left him £200 and an annuity of £15 p.a.; she also left an annuity of £15 p.a. to 'my negro servant Mary Ray Osborne', both resident in the Island of Barbados. Her executors were George Gibbs and Jonathan Blenman [III]. Her will identified Edward Lovell as her late husband's brother.
