Biography

Son of John Hammet (MP for Taunton 1800-1811) and Elizabeth nee Woodford, and nephew of Sir Ralph Woodford.

  1. Will of Frederick James Gordon Hammet formerly secretary to Sir Ralph Woodford governor of Trinidad, late Assistant Protector of Slaves proved 22/09/1834. He left a house in Port of Spain to his brother Charles Woodford Hammet 'now in France' and another to a natural son, Mozart Fernando. He manumitted an enslaved man, Fregus [sp?].
