Biography

Sarah Jane Dummett married Thomas Belgrave in St Michael, Barbados, 30/06/1817. Thomas and Sarah Jane Belgrave had two children, Henry Dummett (born 1818, baptised 1819) and Jacob (born 1820, baptised 10/10/1822) in St Philip. Thomas bought The Adventure in St Philip from the Court of Chancery (previously owned by John Thomas Belgrave) at some point between 1817 and 1820. Thomas was buried in St Philip, 22/04/1821. Sarah Jane remarried, to Joseph Richard Collymore, in St Philip 16/11/1822. They had two sons, Thomas Renn and Joseph, baptised in St Michael in 1827. Free people of colour.
