Trustee and beneficiary of the will of Samuel Proudfoot (q.v.), and legatee under the will of Edmund Proudfoot (q.v.)

  1. Will of Gerrard otherwise Gerard Montagu of Gunton Hall Suffolk proved 04/12/1806. The will is silent on West India property or on 'slave-property'. The main beneficiary was his son Edmund Proudfoot Montagu, a namesake of the Grenada slave-owner.
